Playwrights! Come play with us! Theater Company of Lafayette is seeking short comedic sketches to be included in a production titled, "G-Men in G-Strings: The J. Edgar Hoover Follies." Please submit short plays that follow these guidelines:
1 to 6 minutes in length
Simple staging requirement
PG-13 or tamer content
Cast size should be 7 or fewer.
Plays that include female characters are encouraged.
The sketches must mention J. Edger Hoover, but do not have to be about him.
Amusing flights of imagination are encouraged!
Multiple submissions from the same author are welcome.
Deadline for submissions is March 15, 2010.
Playwrights whose work is selected to be included will receive a small stipend based upon ticket sales. The production will be presented in July, 2010 at the Mary Miller Theater in Lafayette, Colorado. Playwrights retain all rights to their material.
In 2008, TCL produced 10,000 Wayniacs: Very Short Plays Inspired by Wayne Newton. It was a tremendous success, with sold-out shows.
