The First Draft Playwrights' Circle of the Wilmington Drama League will host its annual staged reading series on January 15 & 16, 2010. Accepted plays
will be produced as fully staged, script-in-hand productions followed by a Q&A with the actors, director, playwright and audience. We will be accepting
submissions now through November 23, 2009. You may e-mail your submission to firstdraftwdl (at) gmail (dot) com, or you may snail mail it to:

Selections will be made by the end of November and selected playwrights will be notified no later than December 1, 2009. We will send e-mail confirmation of receipt of your script within 24 hours of its arrival.
****PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY PLAYWRIGHT WHOSE WORK IS ACCEPTED FOR THIS SERIES MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE STAGED READING AT THE WILMINGTON DRAMA LEAGUE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE Q&A.****
We're not limiting submissions to playwrights who live within a specific geographical area, but because the purpose of this series is to provide feedback to the playwright, we do require the playwright's presence at the reading.
