Outlaws Theatre NYC is currently accepting script submissions for our 2007 season. We are most interested in one act plays with limited sets. Please include with your script a brief synopsis of the show and character breakdown.
We are also seeking interested actors, directors, and anyone else who wants to get involved.
To submit a script, express general interest, or to get in touch for any other reason...
e-mail us at OutlawsNYC@gmail.com
Outlaws Theatre got its start 16 years ago as an underground, experimental playwrights' workshop at Penn State University. The group's focus is on producing uncensored, original plays in an electrifying atmosphere and providing feedback for the artists involved.
In 2006, former members Sean Bradley, Stephen Burd, Jennifer Case, Vanessa Reseland, and Andy Saunders hatched a plan to bring Outlaws to the streets of New York City. Outlaws Theatre seeks to build a company of dedicated actors, directors, playwrights, and technicians to collaborate on quality black box theatre every month.
Each performance is followed by a brief talkback session, wherein the audience is encouraged to offer advice or ask questions of the writer, director, and performers. So, have a couple beers and tell us how you feel.
Join the party at 9:30 pm on the first Monday of every month at Jimmy's No. 43 ... and stick around for the after-party!
