Established in 1975 as a not for profit (501(c)(3)), we are dedicated to those actors, writers and directors who wish to explore their creative talents in their own unique way. We wish to offer all artists a place to experiment in a most fertile atmosphere, and thereby grow. We encourage women in all phases of theatre and reach people who might otherwise not be able to afford the ticket price. Tuesday nights are workshop nights, where the old and new materials can be presented and artists can flex their creative muscles as in a gym. Recent plays: Box 27 by Michael Mann, winning several awards from GLAAD, Messin? with Destiny by Chicago playwright Mitch Coleman, several one-woman shows, It?s Me Dad by Fritz Coleman, A Hatful of Rain, the twenties Musical The Boyfriend, Come Back Little Sheba, The Sunshine Boys, etc...
We believe in the transformative power of theatre to affect artists and audiences
Don't give up whatever you're trying to do, especially if you're convinced that you're botching it up. Giving up reinforces a sense of incompetence; going on gives you a commitment to success.
